Both are true sinking braid, and both are ideal for any angler fishing on weedy snaggy venues. It features a dark green base that’s exceptionally colour-fast and doesn’t fade quickly. These green base fibres naturally darken when wet, and in combination with black colour sectioning, ensures that the line is supremely discreet even when draped over weed beds.
Soon after release of the original product we received feedback from anglers and consultants who suggested that a slightly lower diameter version would be a great addition to the range. New 25lb SBX is 20% thinner in diameter* and this means that casting is much improved. Feedback for all those that received it to use and abuse said it still sank like a stone and was still strong and supremely reliable.
*Original 40lb SBX is 0.48mm uncrushed (0.34mm manufacturers spec as originally rated), and the new version is still 0.40mm uncrushed (0.30mm manufacturer rating)
